On the 15th November 2021, the European Co-operation for Accreditation (EA) published an updated version of EA-4/02 M, an EA Document on “Evaluation of the Uncertainty of Measurement in Calibration. The revised document may be downloaded directly from the EA website by clicking here.
EA-4/02 was written with the objective to harmonise evaluation of uncertainty of measurement within EA, to set-up, in addition to the general requirements of EA, the specific demands in reporting uncertainty of measurement on calibration certificates issues by accredited laboratories and to assist accreditation bodies with a coherent assignment of Calibration and Measurement Capability to calibration laboratories accredited by them.
The NAB-MALTA will look at awareness and implementation of this revised publication during routine assessment activity.
